چکیده
We briefly review the situation around the claimed deeply bound K states in different recent experiments and concentrate particularly on the state Kpp seen by the FINUDA collaboration in nuclear K absorption. We perform a theoretical simulation of the process and show that the peak in the Λp spectrum that was interpreted as a deep Kpp bound state corresponds mostly to the process Kpp → Λp followed by final state interactions of the produced particles with the remnant nucleus.

2 00 5 A critical analysis on deeply bound kaonic states in nuclei
We make a critical analysis on the theoretical calculations that lead to predictions of deeply bound kaonic states in nuclei. The model set-up, after dropping several important processes and channels, leads unavoidably to an unrealistic deep potential with a very small imaginary part. We review also the experimental results taken as reference for the claim of deeply bound kaons. We suggest that...

The relativistic mean field (RMF) model is applied to a system of nucle-ons and a ¯ K meson, interacting via scalar and vector boson fields. The model incorporates the standard RMF phenomenology for bound nucleons and, for the ¯ K meson, it relates to low-energy ¯ KN and K − atom phenomenology. Deeply bound ¯ K nuclear states are generated dynamically across the periodic table and are exhibited...

We critically revise the recent claims of narrow deeply bound kaonic states and show that at present there is no convincing experimental evidence for their existence. In particular, we discuss in details the claim of Kpp deeply bound state associated to a peak seen in the Λp invariant mass spectrum from K nuclear absorption reactions by the FINUDA collaboration. An explicit theoretical simulati...

We investigate the formation cross sections of the deeply bound pionic atoms on halo nuclei theoretically. We consider one-neutron pick-up (d,3He) reaction for the pionic atom formation and find that the formation rate is significantly increased by the existence of the halo neutron with long tail of the wave function. This enhancement is expected to increase the experimental feasibility for the...
